Our Company is nestled amongst the juniper trees and sage brush in the beautiful mountains and high desert of Eastern Oregon, which is where we got the inspiration for our name! Juniper & Sage Soap Co. is a woman-owned bath & body company that specializes in handcrafted, small-batch, artisan, cold-process soaps and skincare products.

Philosophy

We believe in the power of quality, sustainability, and self-care. We're committed to using only the finest sustainable ingredients, free of sulfates, phthalates, and parabens, to create gentle yet effective products that nourish both the body and soul.

Craft

Our soaps are meticulously handcrafted using the traditional cold-process method. This time honored technique preserves the integrity of our ingredients, resulting in a soap that not only cleanses but also nurtures and revitalizes. Each bar is carefully hand-cut and cured for a minimum of four weeks, ensuring a long-lasting and luxurious experience.

We offer a variety of soap recipes, each carefully formulated with skin-loving properties. Our tried-and-true ingredient list features favorites like grass-fed beef tallow, coconut oil, olive oil, grapeseed oil, avocado oil, shea butter, castor oil, rice bran oil and goat milk. We're passionate about selecting the best sustainable ingredients to create soaps that are both effective and indulgent.

Meet The Maker

Hi, I’m Josie—the heart and hands behind Juniper & Sage Soap Co.

After 15 years of clocking in at a 9–5, I traded spreadsheets for soap suds and never looked back. What began as a simple love for crafting turned into a mission: to create skincare that’s as honest, sustainable, and nourishing as it is beautiful.

At the core of my products are two timeless ingredients: beef tallow and goat milk. Both are deeply rooted in tradition, incredibly gentle on the skin, and remarkably sustainable. Tallow is a natural byproduct that prevents waste and provides vitamins and fatty acids our skin craves, while goat milk brings rich creaminess and soothing properties that families have trusted for centuries.

Every recipe I create is free from parabens, sulfates, and phthalates—because what you put on your skin matters. Each bar, balm, and lotion is poured, whipped, or stirred with intention. I consider not just how it will look and smell, but how it will feel on the skin of the people I make it for—busy parents, hard workers, growing kids, and anyone who longs for skincare they can truly trust.

As a mom of three wild boys, I know firsthand that life is messy, chaotic, and full of moments that call for comfort and care. My hope is that every product from Juniper & Sage brings a small touch of that—crafted with love, rooted in tradition, and made to nourish.
